Where we started
The spray never went away. The cash was the problem.
Walk into any owambe, wedding, or birthday worth its jollof and you'll see it: someone stepping onto the floor, notes in hand, the crowd turning to watch. Spraying is how we say I see you, I celebrate you — and it's not going anywhere.
But physical cash carries real friction. Hunting for crisp notes. Money changers outside the venue taking their cut. Carrying a bag of cash through a crowded room. The mess, the counting, the scrutiny.
